Feima Robotics J.ME 4K Selfie drone with Obstacle avoidance and Gimbal

Do you like it ?0

Selfie drone Feima Robotics J.ME seems to be one of the most advanced mini drones in its class. It has two amazing features , 1st one is built in micro 2 axis gimbal  and 2nd is front/bottom obstacle avoidance. Videos can be captured with 4K quality and flight time is 23 minutes which obviously is a great score. Feima Robotics J.ME can be easily controlled by smartphone/tablet or by voice commands.

Actually  gimbal is working pretty nice:

I would like to do another follow up on the Feima Robotics j.me drone.
Since this last firmmware update put out by FR, 1.3.14, they have stated that they have now included visual leaving and bettered the obstacle avoidance. I was so looking forward to this big update, but unfortunately it still isn’t there.
I’m not sure if its my drone that has this problem or if others are experiencing it also. I updated my firmware in my drone and did the update on my controller 1.6.3. with no problems.
I was let down once again by FR. Not only do I not have my visual leaving, but I never have and still don’t have obstacle avoidance, let alone a better working version of obstacle avoidance.
I tried the avoidance in the house and still wasn’t there.
I took my controller out of the equation (you never know) and just tried flying with my phone, but still nothing.
I deleted my app off my phone and reinstalled it fresh and still nothing.
Feima Robotics really needs to focus on the firmware releases it puts out.
Other than these 2 features that never seem to work, I still am having fun using the other features which seem to work great.
If anyone has any input about their experience I would appreciate a reply.
And if Feima Robotics is reading this please help a frustrated owner with his drone.

I’d like to give you a bit of feedback on the new j.me drone.
I purchased it from Banggood in China. I also purchased your controller.
After owning this for about the past month I can give you my feedback of the positives and negatives.
As for the drone itself I can say that I was impressed with the build quality, it was very good and seems solid and a pleasing design.
The controller works very well and the function buttons work well. The controller sticks need to be reworked as they, like the plastic used to make the controller looks and feels to much like a cheap toy.
Software, in design itself, seems like it would good, but falls short when trying to use the functions.
Follow me function didn’t work very well, and lost contact with the subject most of the time.
Orbit mode worked very well and kept the subject in frame for the most part.
Headless mode sometimes worked and other times icon would be greyed out and non functioning.
I couldn’t get to try the other functions as the software needed the user to finish different levels in order to unlock functions. I want to use my drone for the features you tout it has. Don’t make me jump through hoops to use my drone. Level unlocks need to go. Let people make up their own minds how they want to use their drone.
GPS stability was rock solid and stayed strong in 15km winds.
Battery flying time was fantastic, 20 min.
Feima Robotics cant be compared to DJI, lets face it, DJI has years of experience in this field and has had its share of problems also. (Fly aways…etc).DJI has also had plenty of feedback from users and has acted on these recommendations. I’m sure Feima Robotics will also address the problems that users of their products experience. In the end its the end user that will dictate how well a company will do.
Great job Feima Robotics on your entry into this cut throat business!
