2015 US National Drone Racing Championships
Another amazing FPV Racing event. Along with ImmersionRC, FatShark and countless others, FPV Racing is here to stay.
This event is produced in tight collaboration with the awesome folks at the California State Fair and Flying Grounds Inc.
Roughly 120 racers competed in Thursday’s time trials and Friday’s seeded races, and a smaller group took part in the freestyle event—all of which were riddled with technical glitches. Some racers struggled to get their drones into the air; others weren’t able to get reliable video footage back to their goggles.

FPV Drone Racing has been around for a while, but in 2015, Fat Shark and the California State Fairgrounds played host to the Drone Nationals: a competition with 120 competitors and a $25,000 prize purse.
Winners Announced from the 2015 Drone Racing National Championships
Held on Bonney Field at the California State Fairgrounds in Sacramento, the ceremony brought to a close two days of competition, which included individual and team racing, as well as a judged freestyle flying event. Pilots competed using First-Person View (FPV) multirotors.
